The Pirates took third this week at the West Region Invitational at Berry Creek Country Club in Georgetown, Texas. In the field of 49 players this week, the Pirates had five players within the top 20, 3 being within the top 15 on the leaderboard. 

Monday brought warm temperatures and ideal course conditions to lead the field to score low through round one. Ryleigh Erickson led the Pirates with a 78 for day one ending her round with an eagle on the par-4 ninth hole. Isabel Montelongo was two behind at an 80 for round one. Madison Miller (82), Linsey Garza (84), and Mikayla Childers (86) rounded out the team score for round one. 

Tuesday the players faced more difficult conditions with strong winds persisting throughout the day. Erickson led the Pirates through day two shooting a 2-over 74 to earn a tie for second finish overall. Isabel Montelongo shot an 82 leading to a tied-for 13th finish while Madison Miller finished tied for 15th. The team finished in third place, only two shots behind the second-place team. 

Leading the second team of Pirates, Katherine Montgomery tied for 19th overall and led the second team to a fifth-place finish. 

The Pirates will compete again at the SCAC Championship at Riverhill Country Club in Kerrville, Texas on April 17th and 18th.
