Women's Golf in Top 10 After First Round Of Golfweek Invitational

DESTIN, Fla. — Southwestern women's golf sits in eighth place after the first round of the Golfweek Division III Invitational, scoring a combined 315. 

Linsey Garza paced the Pirates with a 77, scoring four birdies to tie for 21st. Isabel Montelongo finished one stroke off that mark, scoring a 78 to finish tied for 29th. Madison Goldberg followed with a 79, tied for 35th. Katherine Montgomery shot an 81 for 49th, and Madison Miller scored an 83 to tie for 66th. 

Centre College leads all schools after the first round, scoring a 295 with Grace Walker atop the individual leaderboard with a 72. Margaret Butts (73) and Rylee Suttor (74) are also in the top five.
