Southwestern attempted to beat the weather, playing a condensed version of the UMHB Lady Cru Spring Invitational on Sunday at Cimarron Hills.

All Pirates finished in the top 20 individually with Bernice Leonard leading the way shooting a 92 to end tied for sixth. Keeley Coburn finished in 11th with a 95 and Lauren Boone took 14th with a 97.

Mary Hardin-Baylor's McKenzie Ralston won the event with an eight-over-par 80.

Southwestern will hope for better weather as they compete in the Schreiener Spring Shootout in Kerrville on March 2-3.
