Women's Golf

2013

Speck posted an average score of 82.40 in her final season with the Pirates, finishing in the top 25 in every regular season tournament. At the SCAC Championships, Speck was the highest Pirate finisher coming in second overall with 163 strokes (83-80). She continued her strong play at the NCAA Championship where she finished tied for 15^th with 316 strokes (84-79-78-75). She was also a member of the SCAC Academic Honor Roll.

2012

Speck competed in seven tournaments and posted an average score of 80.33. She finished the season with three top-5 finishes. Speck's best finish also won her SCAC Golfer-of-the-Week honors when she finished 1st of 35 golfers at the Southwestern Invitational.

2011

Speck competed in nine tournaments for the Pirates, posting an average score of 83.35. She had her highest finish of the season at the SCAC Fall Preview, coming in sixth place out of 54 golfs. Speck finished in eighth at the SCAC Championships to earn an All-SCAC Second Team selection.

Prior to Southwestern

Karissa is a 2009 graduate of Artesia High School where she earned varsity letters in golf for the Bulldogs.  She spent a year playing golf at Henderson State before joining the Southwestern golf team. 

Personal

Karissa is the daughter of Gregory and Katheryn and has two brothers, Chris and Michael.  Karissa is an accounting major at SU.
