Fareed Breaks 1,000 Career Points

GEORGETOWN, Texas – Senior, women's basketball guard, Anna Fareed, broke the 1,000 career points mark after her lights out play this past weekend.

Anna Fareed, of Kingwood, Texas, posted a stunning performance against both Colorado College and Hendrix in this weekend's conference play. Fareed especially shined as the solo senior in the final home game of her career against Hendrix on Saturday, February 11. She was perfect in the first half going 8-8 from the field, 3-3 from three point range, and 3-3 from the free throw line. She finished the contest with a spectacular 25 points and a win on her unforgettable senior night.

Fareed's performance not only earned her the SCAC Player-of-the-Week honors this week but she has now joined an elite group of Pirates to break 1,000 career points, a memorable feat to add to an already memorable season for Anna.
