Bailey Middleton

Bailey Middleton joined the Southwestern staff in July 2022 as an Athletic Communications Coordinator and was promoted to the role of Athletic Communications Director in November 2022. 

Middleton, an alumnus of Southwestern University, graduated in the spring of 2020 with his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Business. After graduating from Southwestern, he earned his Master's of Education in Sports Management from the University of Texas at Austin in December 2021. In January 2022, Middleton came to work for his alma mater as Interim Athletic Communication Coordinator.

As a student at Southwestern, Middleton worked under the athletic training staff, athletic facilities management and interned for the athletic department's administration during his senior year. 

While earning his Master's, Middleton was employed by the Circuit of The Americas and interned for Texas Athletics, both under their respective Game and Event Operations departments. As a member of the Circuit of The Americas staff, he helped facilitate operations for large events, including NASCAR, ROT Rally, Bicycle Night, concerts, and corporate outings. At Texas Athletics, Middleton assisted in game operations for five varsity sports, including Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving, Volleyball, Women's Soccer, and Football. 

Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Middleton played four years of football and lacrosse at Vandegrift High School. Recruited by Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Bill Bowman, Middleton chose to play college lacrosse for the Pirates, just thirty minutes from the city he grew up in. In his free time, Middleton enjoys serving as a volunteer assistant coach to the men's lacrosse team.
