SUWANEE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announced its Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll for the 2009 spring term and 89 Southwestern spring student-athletes from 12 sports earned the recognition.
Since the SCAC began the honor roll in the fall of 1997, just over 14,700 male and female athletes have been recognized for their contributions in the classroom. This years total of 1,017 student-athletes is a record high.
To qualify for the award, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.
