Becky Wilson joined Southwestern University in the spring of 1987 as a transfer student and quickly made her impact on the volleyball program as a starting middle blocker and middle hitter. During her three year career, the team compiled an outstanding record of 122 wins and only 30 losses for an 80% winning percentage. Becky led the team to three straight NAIA National Championship Tournaments, two of which were held in Oahu, Hawaii. Under her leadership, Southwestern Volleyball won two NAIA District 4 Championships (1988, 1989), two NAIA Bi-District 6 Championships (1988, 1989), and finished 3rd, 4th, and 5th in the nation (1989, 1987 and 1988, respectively). A team captain, Becky won multiple all-tournament honors, including All-Tournament recognition at the NAIA National Championships in 1989. She also was named to the NAIA All-America Team First Team (1989) and Second Team (1988). The American Volleyball Coaches Association named her First Team All-America in both 1988 and 1989. Earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in biology, Becky graduated from Southwestern in 1989.
