GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Erika Synoski, a junior from Dover, Delaware, and Men's tennis player Landon Sosebee, a sophomore from Austin, Texas have been selected the SCAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played from Monday, April 1 to Sunday, April 7.
Synoski posted a perfect 4-0 week at No. 2 singles, picking up wins over opponents from Concordia (6-0, 6-4), Hardin-Simmons (6-1, 6-2), Schreiner (6-1, 6-0) and East Texas Baptist (6-4, 6-3) as the Pirates swept the week to improve to 3-0 in SCAC play, and 9-7 overall
Sosebee went 2-0 at No. 6 singles for the Pirates, picking up victories over Schreiner's Matthew Caldwell, 6-1, 6-1, and East Texas Baptist's Erick Van Zyl, 6-3, 6-3, to lead his team to a pair of team wins on Saturday.
