Swim & Dive Teams Wrap Up Their Seasons At SCAC Championships

The 2022-2023 Swim and Dive Season came to an end for the Pirates after wrapping up Day 4 of the SCAC Conference Championships. The Championships event was held in Garland, Texas. After completion of all 40 events, both the Men's and Women's teams finished out the Meet in 3rd place overall. 

 

Sophomore Griffin Salinas set a new school record in the Men's 3meter Diving with a total score of 360.10 and that was good enough to earn him 4th overall!

Molly Spano found herself back on the podium after finishing 3rd in the Women's 1650 Yard Freestyle in 18:08.03. 

Freshman Zach Roberts broke the school record in the Men's 1650 Yard Freestyle in a time of 16:22.92!

Andrew Renninger placed 3rd overall in the Men's 200 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:54.33. 

Emma Williams had a blistering 100 Yard Freestyle race and placed 2nd with a time of 52.62. 

Zach Kangieser outkicked everyone in the Men's 200 Yard Butterfly to place 1st overall with a time of 1:51.90!

Emma Frey, Zoe Garcia, Emma Williams, and Elise Samples raced hard together in the Women's 400 Yard Freestyle Relay and took home the silver with a time of 3:30.15. On the Men's side, Sam Anderson, Henry McClure, Owen Ridrigue, and Kevan Kennedy placed 3rd in a time of 3:06.48. 

Sam Anderson also earned the Elite 19 Award to finish out the results from the SCAC Swim and Dive Championships.
