GEORGETOWN, Texas – Director of Athletics Dr. Glada Munt announced Athletics Communications Director Megan Hardin as the Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) effective August 1st.

She has also been involved in the redesign of the athletic logo and launched the SUPirates social media accounts and southwesterngear.com merchandise site.

"We are delighted to announce the promotion of Megan Hardin as our new NCAA Senior Woman Administrator," said Dr. Munt. "Her longevity with Southwestern Athletics and her vast array of athletic experience makes her a perfect fit as our next SWA."

"I am so thankful to Dr. Munt and the entire Athletics staff for this opportunity to continue to enhance Southwestern Athletics," said Hardin. "This is an incredibly exciting time to be a Pirate and I look forward to having a hand in continuing to make Southwestern Athletics a premiere Division III athletics department as well as being an advocate for all coaches and student-athletes."

Megan is also an active member in the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), speaking on various panels at the national convention and serving on the Division III Day convention planning committee and College Division Management Advisory Committee. In 2017 she was selected as the CoSIDA Rising Star for the College Division, an award presented annually to one university division and a college division member with 10 years of full-time service or less in the profession for service, dedication, energy and enthusiasm that make the individual a "rising star" in sports information.

"Megan is a shining example of making your voice count and contributing value while being in the room," said CoSIDA President Rob Knox.

Before Southwestern, Megan was the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Howard Payne University from 2001-2006. During her time the Yellow Jackets compiled a 104-32 record (.765 winning percentage) while winning one American Southwest Conference title with two NCAA tournament appearances (1st round and 2nd round).

Megan is a 2001 graduate of Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa and was a member of the women's basketball team that won three IIAC conference championships with two trips to the NCAA tournament.
