Chapin Wehde joined the Southwestern Athletic Department as the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine in the Fall of 2023. 

Wehde comes to Southwestern from her previous role at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where she was the Director of Athletic Training and Head Athletic Trainer, managing a staff of seven ATs. Wehde directed and facilitated all sports medicine-related policies and procedures, for all 700 athletes at UWL. 

Before her position at UWL, Wehde was the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine, Senior Woman Administrator, and Assistant Compliance Coordinator at the Illinois Institute of Technology. In total, Wehde had over a decade of experience in sports medicine.

Wehde is a 2011 graduate of Aurora University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and went on to earn her Master of Rehabilitative Sciences from the California University of Pennsylvania in 2014.
