MEMPHIS — The Southwestern University Pirates women's cross country team competed in the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional Championships hosted by Rhodes College.

First year Emma Pertuit finished with a time of 25:02.5, placing 116th with a 6:42.8 mile pace. Lauren Calzado ran a 27:08.1 for a 7:16.5 mile pace to finish 182nd. 

Washington and Lee won the even with a score of 36, placing two of the top three finishers in Sara Stephenson and Katie Harris. Anna Wilgenbusch of Dallas won the event with a time of 21:29.3. Trinity University finished highest amongst SCAC teams, placing fourth.
