KERRVILLE, Texas - The Southwestern women's cross country team completed the 2018 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Cross Country Championships today at Schreiner University.
Valerie Acosta was the first Southwestern Pirate to finish and came in at 31st out of 59 runners, with a time of 26:04.083. Trailing by a few seconds, Senior Trinh Ha finished second for the Pirates with a time of 26:25.608.
With other runners such as Morgan Fortieth (26:49.166) and Emma McCandless (27:24.377), the Southwestern Pirates totaled 138 points to landed 5th place in the SCAC Championships.
The women team has worked hard and continually grown through the 2018 season. Under Head Coach Andrew Diehl, the team will carry the experience from this year into the next year for women's cross country.
