Pirates Women's Cross-Country Team Completes UIW Invitational

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Southwestern women's cross country competed in the University of Incarnate Word Invitational this past Saturday where freshman Valerie Acosta come out 38th out of 74 runners in the women's 6K.

Acosta came out with a time of 26:47.4, which would mark as her fastest time of the season. Teammate senior Trinh Ha completed with a time of 27:22.3, and freshman Emma McCandless with a time of 27:59.5.

Up next, the Southwestern women's cross-country team now looks to the University of Dallas Invitational on Oct. 13th, then the SCAC Championship hosted by Texas Lutheran University.
