GEORGETOWN, TX - Emma White, a senior outside hitter from Lucas, Texas, has been named to the AVCA All-Region 10 team for the second year in a row.
White adds her All-Region award to a season and a career full of accomplishments. In the 2022 season, White won her second Elite 19 award, an award given by the SCAC for an athlete who is named first-team All-SCAC and has the highest GPA of anyone earning first-team honors. She is the first SCAC volleyball player to win the award twice, having taken home the award in 2021, and the second different Southwestern student-athlete to receive the SCAC Women's Volleyball Elite 19 award as former Pirate Brandi Campos took home the inaugural award in 2018.
"The program and staff are proud of the effort and development that Emma has put into her skill set over her last four seasons. Her All-Region honor is a wonderful recognition for her hard work during her time here" says Head Coach Don Flora.
This season White eclipsed 1,100 kills, 1,200 digs, and almost 1,400 points for her career at Southwestern. White adds her second All-Region award to a career that has seen her earn two Elite 19 awards as mentioned, two first-team All-SCAC awards, two SCAC All-Tournament team honors, and an NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team selection.
