Southwestern volleyball right-side hitter Jessica Kuras is the women's Southwestern Featured Athlete of the Week for her performance in the No. 16-ranked Pirates five-set match against No. 3 Trinity on Sunday. 

Kuras had her best performance of the season against Southwestern's highest-ranked opponent, scoring a season-high 13 kills on an efficient .522 hitting percentage with one block assist. The junior from Phoenix, Arizona has 106 kills so far this season on a .165 hitting percentage. She's also contributed 42 digs and 21 total blocks, including two solo blocks. 

Southwestern is 19-2 this season with a 9-2 conference record. Both losses have come to nationally-ranked teams. Southwestern will travel to Kerrville, Texas, next weekend for matches against St. Thomas, Texas Lutheran, No. 7-ranked Colorado College, and Schreiner.
