2012 (Junior) 

Froetschel led the Pirates in blocks and ranked fourth in the SCAC averaging 0.83 blocks per set. Her 96 blocks was fifth best in the conference as she led Southwestern in the category. She was named to the SCAC All- Sportsmanship Team and also earned SCAC Honor Roll honors. Offensively Froetschel 147 kills, fifth best for the Pirates, and averaged 1.28 kills per set. She added 24 service aces as she played in 35 of 36 matches helping Southwestern earn at NCAA tournament bid. She also tied a school record for total blocks in a five-set match (9), matching Lindsay Thompson’s record set against Calvin on 10/15/2010.   

2011 (Sophomore)

Froetschel played in 62 sets in 27 matches in her second season with the Pirates. She was third on the team in blocks with 62 (16 solo, 46 assisted) for an average of one block per set. Froetschel was first on the team and ninth in the SCAC with a kill percentage of 28.3; she had 109 kills on 272 attempts with only 32 errors. Lorin also recorded 12 service aces, 50 digs, and three assists on the year. She was named to the SCAC Academic Honor Roll. Froetschel set two Southwestern records versus Dallas on November 4th: total blocks in a four-set match with nine and block assists in a four-set match with eight. She was also a member of the SCAC Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll. 

2010 (First-year)

Froetschel appeared in 10 sets and eight matches, recording seven kills with a .150 attack percentage. She also posted three service aces and four blocks on the year. Froetschel was member of the SCAC Fall 2010 Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll.

High School

Lorin, a 2010 graduate from Coronado High School in El Paso, earned 2 varsity letters for the Thunderbirds.  She was named to the All-City team as well as being named First Team All-District and Academic All-State. 

Personal

Lorin is the daughter of John and Teri and has two siblings, Kyle and Willis.  Lorin is an elementary education major at SU.
