2012 (First-year) 

Foster was outstanding in her first season en route to Second Team All-SCAC honors. She finished third for the Pirates with 262 kills and was second with 449 digs. The rookie tallied 10 double-doubles on the year including a season-high 16 kills and 16 digs in a 3-0 win over Concordia. She also set a school record for digs in a five-set match with 34 against Trinity helping Southwestern to a 3-2 victory. Foster added 16 service aces and 40 blocks helping the Pirates return to the NCAA tournament for a ninth straight season.

High School 

Foster was a three-sport athlete for the Hornets, earning letters in volleyball, soccer and golf. She was the Outstanding Offensive Player for District 28-5A, team MVP and a First Team All-District selection on the volleyball team. She earned Academic All-District distinctions in all three sports and was also an Academic All-State selection in volleyball. 

Personal

Kaitlyn is the daughter of John and Karen Foster and has two siblings, Megan and Justin. She is majoring in biology and political science at Southwestern.
