Women's Track & Field Place 4th in the SCAC Championships

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Southwestern women's track team, wrapped up the 2019 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships this Saturday earning 70 points and placing fourth in SCAC standings.

Trinity earned their fifth consecutive SCAC Women's Track and Field Championship. Texas Lutheran took second place followed by Colorado College who took third place.

Southwestern's Jaelynn Stewart took top honors by earning one individual title in the women's shot put as with a toss of 11.72m. Stewart also threw her career best in the women's discus with a mark of 34.97m. Erin Toro who also competed women's discus earned third place with a throw of 39.24m and placed fourth in the women's shot put with a throw 10.82m.

Erica Robuck also did well in the women's 200 meter by placing third overall with a time of 26.80. Keamber McCracken who was the only Pirate to compete in the women's 400 hurdles placed third with a time of 1:07.02.

For the women's 4 x 100 meter relay the Southwestern women's relay team took second place with a time of 50.09.
