Southwestern finishes fourth at SCAC Championships

SEGUIN, Texas – The Southwestern University women's track & field team finished fourth at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday.

The Pirates accumulated 51 points at the event.

Southwestern received a pair of runner-up finishes on the final day of competition.

Kelsey Faykus placed second overall in the discus throw with a heave of 33.71m. Tori Carraway also finished second in the 100-meter hurdles, as she crossed the line with a time of 15.60 seconds.

Kimi Prevost logged two points after placing fifth in the javelin throw with a distance of 27.91m.

Southwestern also picked up two points in the 4x400-meter relay with a fifth-place finish.

Trinity captured the team title with 255 points. Texas Lutheran placed second with 190 points, while Colorado College followed in third with 93 points. After Southwestern, Dallas finished fifth with 23 points.
