Women's 2019 Final ITA Division III Rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Southwestern University women's tennis team was ranked 22 in the nation in the 2019 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III rankings announced Wednesday, June 5.

Southwestern's Mary Cardone was ranked 22nd nationally for women's singles as well as 5th in the west regionCecile Wilde and Esther Bowers were also ranked 12th in the west region for women's doubles. 

The national champion Emory University men's tennis team finished on top in the final ITA Division III rankings. The men's team was joined by Jonathan Jemison and Ysabel Gonzalez Rico, both from Emory, as the No. 1 ranked singles players. Wesleyan University jumped from their previous ranking of No. 4 to claim the No. 1 ranking for the women's teams. The Bowdoin College duo of Yangeng Jiang and Grant Urken and the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps duo of Caroline Cox and Catherine Allen claimed the men's and women's No. 1 doubles ranking respectively.
