COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Southwestern University Pirates women's swimming and diving sophomore Jesse Stovall was named to the 2019-20 College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) All-American Team.

Due to the cancellation of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, the CSCAA Board adjusted the selection criteria for each Division. For NCAA Division III, relays and individuals selected to the NCAA Championships were awarded All-American status.

The result was an unprecedented number of selections in what is largely acknowledged as unprecedented circumstances.

"Despite the cancellation of the NCAA Championships, Coach [Jon] Duncan did a remarkable job this season," explained Greg Earhart, Executive Director of the CSCAA. "Jesse had the rug pulled out from her this season, so we are excited to recognize her as one of the nation's best."

Stovall earned a spot in the NCAA Championships in the 50 freestyle and was set to compete in that event, the 100 freestyle, and 100 butterfly before the athletics were shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This season, she won her second consecutive SCAC 50 freestyle championships with a time of 23.59 and 100 freestyle title with a time of 51.38.
