Southwestern University Pirates women's swimming and diving sophomore Jesse Stovall will compete in the upcoming NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships.

Stovall was named a second alternate in the 50 freestyle on Feb. 26 and was officially extended the invitation to compete earlier today. She will compete in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, and 100 yard butterfly.

This season, Stovall defended her SCAC 50-yard freestyle championship, finishing first with a time of 23.59—good for a NCAA 'B' cut—to win the event for a second consecutive year. She also defended her 100-yard freestyle title, defeating Trinity's Morgen Reyna by 0.27 seconds with a time of 51.38 seconds).

The NCAA Championships will be held March 18-21 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. A total of 579 participants (526 swimmers and 53 divers) will compete in the Championships.
