Women's and Men's Swim Teams Place Second in SCAC Championships 
 SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- In the final day of the Southern Athletic Collegiate Conference (SCAC) Swim & Dive Championships the Southwestern men's and women's swim and dive teams placed second for with final scores of 275 points for the men and 326 points for the women. 

Both Trinity men's and women's teams swept the SCAC Championships, also marking the Trinity women's swim team 17th championship title in a row and the 20th champion title overall for their program.  

In the final day of competition, both Pirate relay teams did well with the men's team winning first in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay and the women winning second place. 

In the men and women's 100-yard freestyle Jesse Stoval (51.38) and Emma Frey (52.27) took first and fourth place while Keith Gill (45.85) also won first place followed by Todd Coachman (47.01) and Henry McClure (47.76) who took third and eighth place. 

Rehgan Hartsell won first place in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:24.47 and Natalie Gierat placed fourth with a time of 2:28.96. For the men, Alek Argueta (2:04.22) placed first followed by Sam Anderson (2:07.53) who placed fifth, Caden Garza (2:10.38) placing sixth and Sean Calvert (2:10.84) placing seventh.

In the 200-yard backstroke Alicia Peter placed third with a time of 2:10.12 and Riley Barlage placed eighth with a time of 2:20.31. Carter Duncan placed seventh in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:59.85, followed by Connor Moland who placed eighth with a time of 2:03.83.

Dylan Neumann placed third in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:55.38 and Jack Hansen placed seventh with a time of 1:56.24. Summer Newton placed fifth with a time of 2:17.16 followed by Hannah Kral who placed sixth with a time of 2:20.31.

Matt Oevermann placed third in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:34.78, and for the women, Natalie Hicks placed second with a time of 8:19.59. For diving, Kyla Gorman represented the women's team and scored a total of 278.35. 

 This ends the Southwestern University men's and women's swim team 2019-2020 season. Pirate swimmers who posted qualifying times will await possible selection to the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, to be held March 20-23 at Greensboro, North Carolina.
