Women's Swimming and Diving Sets Another School Record at SCAC Championships

SAN ANTONIO — The Southwestern University Pirates women's swimming and diving team set another school record, moving up to third place in the SCAC Championships. 

Jesse Stovall, Rehgan Hartsell, Ashley Harmon and Erika Dubros set a new school mark in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:56.30, taking first in the event. Stovall also continued to shine individually, becoming the first Southwestern woman to win the 100 fly (57.19) at the SCAC Championships a day after taking the 50 freestyle. 

Hartsell also placed first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:04.69, defending last year's title in the event. 

The Pirates finished Day Three with a total score of 475, trailing Trinity University and Colorado College. The team standings heading into the final day of competition are as follows: 

1) Trinity University – 640

2) Colorado College – 513

3) Southwestern University – 475

4) Centenary College – 300

5) Austin College – 226

6) University of the Ozarks – 125

7) McMurry University – 100
