Women's swimming & diving finishes third at SCAC Championships

LEWISVILLE, Texas – The Southwestern University women's swimming & diving team finished third at the 2016 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships Saturday at the Westside Aquatic Center.

The Pirates amassed 623 points, finishing behind Trinity (937) and Colorado College (841.5).

On the final day of competition, Southwestern excelled in two races – the 1650-meter freestyle and 200-meter butterfly.

Kenly Gaynor placed runner up in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:10.57. Taylor Adams finished fourth with a mark of 2:15.70.

Meanwhile, Alexandra Morris (18:18.17) and Sarah Hachar (19:08.63) finished third and fourth, respectively, in the 1650 free.
