Southwestern tops McMurry on Saturday, 136-86

GEORGETOWN, Texas – The Southwestern women's swimming & diving team won its final tune-up before the league championship, defeating McMurry, 136-86, Saturday at Walzel Natatorium.

The Pirates won eight races on the day.

Cara Chin and Erika Dubros both won a pair of individual races. The duo also made up half of the four-person team that won the 200-yard medley relay.

Chin captured sprint victories in the 50-yard freestyle and 50-yard butterfly.

Meanwhile, Dubros touched the wall first in the 50-yard breaststroke and 100-yard freestyle.

Southwestern will now turn its focus to preparing for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships, which will take place Feb. 10-13 in Lewisville.
