SAN ANTONIO – The Southwestern University women's swimming & diving team was defeated by Trinity on Saturday, 237-74.

Marissa Byrd led the Pirates with a pair of runner-up performances. Byrd finished second in both the 100- and 200-yard breaststrokes.

Meanwhile, Madison Doty added a second-place finish in the 100-yard individual medley. Doty was edged out by less than a second, touching the wall at 1:04.81.

The Pirates will continue their campaign on Saturday, Jan. 23, as the squad hosts McMurry.
