Southwestern earns victory in first competition of the year

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Southwestern women's swimming and diving team returned to action with a contest against Birmingham-Southern and West Florida on Friday. The Pirates dropped a 187-83 decision to West Florida, but collected a 143-117 victory over Birmingham-Southern.

Alexandra Morris earned the only victory of the day for SU, as she won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:31.88.

Southwestern will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 16 at Trinity.
