Softball Rises to No. 22 in Latest Top 25 Poll

The Southwestern University Pirates softball team moved up the rankings to No. 22 in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) poll.

Southwestern is one of two ranked Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) teams ranked in the top 25 with Texas Lutheran University tied for No. 13 with Luther, moving up from the No. 15 spot. The Pirates were previously ranked No. 23 and ended the regular season with a 33-4 record.

The Pirates enter the SCAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed. Southwestern will play the winner of Centenary and Dallas on Friday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m. in Shreveport, La.
