Win streak moves to ten with massive offensive output

GEORGETOWN, Texas - Southwestern scored 24 runs in 10 innings including two eight run innings to defeat the University of Dallas 11-3 and 13-4 in SCAC action Friday. 

Dallas jumped on the board in the top of the first, shocking the Pirates. SU blasted eight runs in the second including a three-run shot from Kaitlyn Copher. 

UD added two in the third before the Pirates posted three in the fourth and closed the run-rule win in the field behind winning pitcher Chandler Smith

Southwestern trailed much of game two and were behind 3-2 heading into the bottom of the fourth where they tacked on eight runs with three coming from a bomb to left field by Taylor Curtis

Paige McShan sealed the run rule win in the fifth, blasting her first pitch over the left field fence to drive home three. 

Marissa Ivin led at the plate, going 4-5 with three runs. Sydney Scott went 3-5 with two doubles and three runs and five RBIs. 

Smith and Lindsey Longuet posted identical 2.80 ERAs to earn complete game wins. 

Southwestern and Dallas moved their game times up two hours to beat the rain on Saturday. First pitch is set for 11 am.
