The Southwestern University Pirates women's soccer team will make the program's first appearance in the NCAA Tournament this weekend, facing off against host school Hardin-Simmons University.
Southwestern earned an automatic bid by virtue of its victory over Trinity University in penalty kicks to clinch its first SCAC Championship.
The Pirates' first-round match will take place on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 3:30 p.m. in Abilene, Texas at the HSU Soccer Complex. Southwestern is currently 16-4-1 and Hardin-Simmons is 17-2-1 after clinching its 17th consecutive ASC Championship.
