Johnee Wolter Named SCAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

The Southwestern University Pirates women's lacrosse team swept the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards in the season's opening weekend.

Senior attacker Johnee Wolter was named the SCAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for her performances from Jan. 3 through Feb. 9.

Wolter had four goals and one assist to help lead the Pirates to a 16-7 victory over the Hendrix College Warriors in the season opener last Saturday. This is Wolter's first career player of the week award.

Southwestern is 1-1 after opening the season with matches against Hendrix and Rhodes College. The Pirates will host Elmira on Monday, Feb. 17 at 7:00 p.m.
