Pirates close season against Meredith

Pirates close season against Meredith

GEORGETOWN, Texas - Southwestern women's lacrosse closed their 2018 campaign against Meredith Sunday afternoon, falling to the Avenging Angels 24-0.

Meredith took control of the game early with two goals in the opening minute and were able to hold the Pirates off the scoreboard. SU was not without their good looks at goal, but Meredith's keepers always seemed to make the clutch save to hold the Pirates scoreless.

Allison Cook had another strong game defensively with two ground balls, three caused turnovers and two draw controls. She will end the regular season ranked in the top ten nationally in caused turnovers per game and ground balls per game.

Southwestern graduates three seniors from this year's squad, Lacey Bowersox, Allison Cook, and Brenna Jobb. The Pirates end the year at 5-11 overall.
