Southwestern University Pirates sophomore Madison Goldberg was named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) NCAA Division III All-Region team.

In her first season at Southwestern after transferring from the NCAA Division I Texas Tech University golf team, Goldberg finished with the second greatest individual season scoring average in program history at 78.31 through 13 rounds, finishing just behind senior Emily Campbell's mark of 78.00 through 17 rounds set in the 2017-18 season.

"Madison is an extremely talented player and a very hard worker. She is one of the best ball strikers I've had the opportunity to work with," Head Coach Greg Sigler said. "As Madison continues to progress, she has the chance to be one of the best players in the nation."

Goldberg paced the Pirates with four top-five finishes in six events, winning the Lady Crusader Fall Invitational with a score of 153, placing second in the Rockwind Links Intercollegiate with a season-best score of 144, tying for third in the SCAC Preview at 161, and notching a 153 at the Lady Bulldog Fall Classic to tie for fourth. She finished ranked No. 13 in the region by Golfstat.

The Pirates opened the season with three consecutive wins, placing first in the Lady Bulldog Fall Classic, the Rockwind Links Intercollegiate, and Lady Crusader Fall Invite. After finishing 11th at the Golfweek DIII Fall Invite, Southwestern closed the season with back-to-back second-place finishes at the Lowery Invitational and the SCAC Conference Preview to finished No. 25 in Division III by Golfstat's rankings.
