Women's Golf Finishes Second At Lowery Invitational

LAKEWAY, Texas – The Southwestern University Pirates women's golf team finished second at the 2020 Linda Lowery Invitational, scoring a 690 to finish five strokes off first-place Concordia Texas.

Emily Campbell led the Pirates' five-woman lineup with a 168, falling six strokes off her first-round pace, finishing in a tie for fifth place. Madison Miller also scored an 87 in the second round, scoring a 169 to tie for seventh place. Madison Goldberg rounded out the top 10 for the Pirates' scoring lineup with a 175 to finish 10th.

Leilani McDaniel tied for 14th with a 182 and Linsey Garza placed in a tie for 18th with a 188. Southwestern University golfer Sarah Lucido competed as an individual in the event and finished third on the leaderboard with a 165.

Southwestern will compete in the SCAC Preview at the Vaaler Creek Golf Club in Blanco, Texas on Monday, March 2 and Tuesday, March 3.
