BLANCO, Texas – Senior Bernice Leonard shot an eight-over-par 80 in the final round to finish tied for second overall at the 2016 SCAC Golf Championship hosted at Vaaler Creek Country Club.
Southwestern finished in third overall as a team, trailing Trinity by just 12 strokes and Schreiner by six.
Leonard finished the first round as the leader with a four-over-par 76. Leonard was a First Team All-SCAC selection for her play.
Senior Keeley Coburn and first-year Valentina Olivieri finished tied for 10th to earn Second Team All-SCAC honors. Coburn shaved seven strokes off her first round to post a 163 (85-78) while Olivieri took nine strokes off her first round (86-77).
First-year Katie Dyo went 91-85 to come in 18th place and first-year Mikayla Miller was just behind with a 177 (85-92).
Schreiner's Kaycee Bankert won the individual title with a 135 (77-76).
