SEGUIN, Texas - Southwestern women's golf opened the season at Starcke Park Municipal Course Monday and sit in fifth place after the first round with a 334. 

Senior Bernice Leonard led the Pirates with a 79 and sits tied for sixth place. First-year Katherine Dyo posted an 84 in her first collegiate round and is tied for 21st while fellow first-year Mikayla Miller is in 24th with an 85. 

Senior Keeley Coburn finished tied for 25th with an 86 and first-year Valentina Olivieri shot an 89. 

Western Texas Community College's Emily Coleman leads the Lady Bulldog Fall Classic with a 75. Mary Hardin-Baylor is in first in the team standings with a 318. 

Southwestern will wrap-up the Classic on Tuesday in Seguin.
