SHERMAN, Texas - The Pirates were unable to get rolling on Sunday afternoon as they fell 68-54 to Austin College. 

Southwestern was down six at the end of the first quarter and were held to just seven second quarter points to trail by 13 at halftime, 30-17. 

SU was never within striking distance in the second half and shot just 11 free throws for the game while committing 19 turnovers. 

Cecily Woolfolk led with 18 points while Madison Edwards contributed 13. Tori Carraway pulled down a team high 13 boards as Southwestern out-rebounded the 'Roos 43-41. 

Southwestern falls to 7-11 overall and 4-3 in the SCAC and return home to begin the second round of conference play on Friday, facing Centenary at 5:30 pm.
