Southwestern defeats Dallas 82-62

GEORGETOWN, Texas – Southwestern shot near 50% from the field and three point range in an 82-62 win over the University of Dallas.  

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Southwestern started strong and built a 19-6 after the first quarter.
  • Both offenses picked up steam in the second quarter, but SU still had the advantage at halftime 44-25.
  • Back-to-back threes opened the second half for SU, setting the tone and increasing their lead to 20, 63-43, by the end of the third quarter.
  • Dallas refused to go away quietly and pulled as close as 11 points late in the quarter, but the lead was just too much as Southwestern closed the game from the free throw line.
