Women’s basketball places three on All-SCAC teams

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Led by Chelsea Leeder's third First Team All-SCAC selection, Southwestern had three players earn post season honors.

Leeder has made the most of her final season with the Pirates, averaging 15.5 points per game placing her third in the conference. She is in the top ten in every offensive category, including fifth in field goal percentage (45.3%) and seventh in three point percentage (32.9). Leeder is not only a huge scoring threat, she does everything else, ending the regular season 4th in steals (49), fifth in blocks (26), 6th in turnovers (85) and fifth in rebounds at 7.2 per game. She broke into the top ten in career scoring in the conference this season and has landed at #8 with 1635 points after her 14 point performance in SU's loss to the University of Dallas in the quarterfinals.

Annie Bourne earned her first Second Team All-SCAC selection after being an Honorable Mention pick in 2012 and First Team choice last season. Bourne has dominated the boards all season long and leads the conference in rebounding at 10.9 per game. She is also fourth in field goal percentage (45.5%) while averaging just under ten points per game, and is 10th in blocks with 14.

Jordan Owens rounds out Southwestern's representation in the all-conference voting with a Third Team selection. Owens was a First Team pick last year and Honorable Mention selection in 2012, earning Newcomer-of-the-Year that same season. Owens is eighth in scoring at 14.4 points per game while shooting 44.3% from the floor, also eighth best. She is also eighth in blocks with 16 and averaged 4.7 rebounds per game this season.

The Pirates ended the year at 13-13 after a 66-58 loss to the University of Dallas in the SCAC tournament.
