Noah Dennis Wins First Meet of Cross Country Season

TOMBALL, Texas — Noah Dennis opened the Southwestern Pirates' men's cross country season with an individual victory at the University of St. Thomas Celts Invitational, placing first with a time of 22:09.1 over a four-mile course. 

The Pirates placed fourth at the meet with a score of 59. Doug Ginsberg was the second Pirate to cross the finish line, placing seventh with a time of 23:39.9. Nathan Botros (25:33.1) and Vincent Kim (26:34.1) placed 18th and 19th overall. Adrian Washington (27:24.1) finished 21st. 

McMurry won the overall event with a score of 48. St. Thomas and Texas Lutheran finished second and third, scoring 48 and 58. The Pirates will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 6 in the SCAC Championships.
