Men's Cross Country Makes 2019 NCAA DIII All-Academic Teams

GEORGETOWN, Texas -- The Southwestern University men's cross country team earned a spot on the 2019 NCAA Division III Cross Country All-Academic Teams honored by the USTFCCCA.

Overall, there were 172 men's teams recognized by the USTFCCCA and only three teams from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC), including Southwestern, made the list. This will be the second year in a row for the Southwestern men's cross country to make the NCAA Division III All-Academic Team, accumulating a 3.32 GPA in 2018 and currently a 3.13 GPA for 2019.

Pomona-Pitzer was named the NCAA Division III Cross Country Men's Scholar Team of the Year. The Sagehens won their first national title in program history this past November at the 2019 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships in Louisville, Kentucky.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
