Men's Track & Field Break Career Records in SCAC Championships

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Southwestern Pirates men's track team wraps up the 2019 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships this past Saturday afternoon, earning 51 points and placing fourth in SCAC standings.

Texas Lutheran University earned its third straight SCAC Men's Track and Field Championship title with Trinity claiming second place and Colorado College taking third place.

Josh Im broke two personal career best with the men's 5000 meters and the men's10,000 meter race. Placing fourth in the 10,000 meter he ran with a time of 34:02.56 and in the 5000 meter, he ran with a time of 16:18.10.

Senior John Hattan ran his career best in the men's 5000 meter run with a time of 15:49.40 and taking fifth place overall. Hattan also ran his personal best in the men's 3000-meter steeple race, placing second with a time of 9:54.13.

Devin Rosas was able to place high in the men's high jump with a mark at 1.92m and earning fourth overall. Rosas also placed third in the men's long jump, marking at 6.50m.

The men's 4 x 100 relay also earned third place with a time of 43.84 after Texas Lutheran and Trinity.
