Men's Track and Field Competes in the HSU Relays

ABILENE, Texas – The Southwestern University Pirates men's track and field team competed in the Hardin-Simmons University (HSU) Relays on Saturday, getting a pair of second-place finishes. 

Sam Grubbs showed his strength in the hammer throw with a second-place finish at 39.15m. and Josh IM finished second in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 34:41.22, trailing East Texas Baptist's Mack Broussard (34.22.01).

Other performances include C.P Shaulis (fifth, 4:36.21) and Doug Ginsberg (ninth, 4:40.90) in the 1,500 meter run, Robert Robuck (sixth, 22.78) in the 200 meter dash, Keith Rupe (10th, 18.99) in the 110 meter hurdles, and Robuck (11.10) in the 100 meter dash.

Southwestern will travel on March 2 to compete in the Trinity Opener in San Antonio, Texas.
