GEORGETOWN, Texas – For the seventh year in a row, the Southwestern University men's tennis team earned the 2020 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team award and seven athletes were named to the ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades.
For the 2020 season, Alexis Dimanche, Tyler Norman, Hunter Bajoit, Hemanshu Rambojun, Max Pearson, Steven Tibbetts and Carlos Esteban Rodero collected ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.
In order to be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the 2019-20 academic year. Additionally, in order for a team to garner ITA All-Academic Team honors, a program must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above for 2019-20.
Southwestern was one of 125 Division III men's tennis teams to receive All-Academic Team distinction, while the seven individual Pirates were part of 958 student-athletes recognized for their academic achievements.
