Hunter Bajoit Named SCAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week

Southwestern University Pirates men's tennis player Hunter Bajoit was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Player of the Week for matches played from Feb. 3-Feb. 9. 

Bajoit, who won the SCAC Newcomer of the Year last season, swept the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor's Robert Gallagan in straight sets (6-0, 6-0) at No. 2 singles in the Pirates' 9-0 victory on Saturday. 

This is the second career SCAC Player of the Week award for the sophomore from The Woodlands, Texas, winning once last season. 

No. 30-ranked Southwestern is 2-0 this season with victories over conference newcomer St. Thomas and Mary Hardin-Baylor. This weekend, the Pirates will make the first of two trips to California this season, facing Redlands and Caltech on Saturday, Feb. 16 and Sunday, Feb. 16.
