ABILENE, Texas - Over the course of the weekend, the Southwestern men's Tennis team competed in the Southwest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Tournament, where Tyler Norman claimed Flight B champion title in men's singles and in men's doubles alongside Alonso Fernandez.
In Flight B men's singles, Norman won 6-3, 6-1 over fellow Southwestern Jeremy Wilson for the champion title in the flight. Not only did Norman claim the flight B singles championship title but both Fernandez and Norman also snagged the men's doubles flight B champions from Hardin Simmons Josh Lopez and Keenan Nash in a 9-7 win.
In flight A final round for singles, Fernandez almost made it to the semi-finals but came up short against Calum Robe from Austin College.

The men's tennis team will travel to Rome, Georgia, to finish up their fall season by competing in the ITA Cup on Oct. 11-14.
