Swim Makes Fall Semester CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

GEORGETOWN, Texas – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) announced on Tuesday that the Southwestern University Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams were named Scholar All-America teams for the Spring semester. Teams must hold a 3.0 GPA or higher throughout the semester to earn the honor.

The Pirate women's team logged a GPA of 3.48 during the semester, being named a Scholar All-American team every semester dating back to Spring of 2011, while the men's squad spotted a 3.04 GPA, earning the honor for a third-straight semester. The women's team ranked 65 out of 183 Division III teams and was second of the three Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) competitors Colorado College women's team who ranked 32 and Trinity who was ranked 94. For men's swimming, Southwestern ranked 32 out of 120 teams and also came in second to SCAC's Colorado College who ranked 13 for the men and Trinity ranking 94. 

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
